Intense pulsed light
Also called IPL
A light-based treatment named in the rosacea leaflet for reducing visible facial blood vessels.
What it is
Intense pulsed light, or IPL, is a light-based treatment. Dr Satish’s rosacea leaflet names it, alongside lasers, as an option for reducing the visible blood vessels of rosacea and for correcting the change in the shape of the nose that rosacea can cause.
A note on this page
The clinic’s patient leaflets do not yet include a sheet devoted to intense pulsed light, so this page is deliberately short. Ask at your consultation whether IPL is a suitable option for your skin.
